    ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATES FEES

    The assessment and issue of certificates are free of charge (they are included in the course cost for all our entrants). For others who need a certificate of knowledge of Serbian, they can be tested and given a certificate. The cost is 10,800 dinars.

    For the nationals of the former Yugoslav republics (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro) who need only a certificate of knowledge of Serbian the cost is 2,500 dinars.

    PAYMENT

    The course is paid in monthly instalments, during the first two tuition weeks. Once the payment has been made, students are required to send a payment confirmation to the email address centar@ff.uns.ac.rs . (Textbooks, Naučimo srpski 1 / Naučimo srpski 2, are not included in the tuition fee. They can be purchased at the college bookshop). The payment can be made at a bank or a post office, in dinars. Fill in the payment form as follows (available from a post office)

    Important: Once the payment is made, unfortunately we would not be able to return it in case someone cannot attend course.


    Application Deadline and Enrolment

    The classes for all semester courses are held during winter and spring semester according to the University academic year calendar.
    In the 2024/25 academic year, the winter semester starts on 1st October 2024 and ends on 19th January 2025.
    The spring semester starts on 3rd February and ends on 31st May 2025.
    Application deadline for the winter semester is 20th September.
    Application deadline for the spring semester is 20th January.

    Assessment, Diplomas and Credits

    In order for the level of student’s knowledge of Serbian to be determined, all the entrants (except absolute beginners) must take a placement test.

    At the end of the course, all the students take the examination (made in accordance with the requirements for each level of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages), gain 3 ECTS credits and get a diploma for the level issued by the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Novi Sad. Both the Faculty of Philosophy and the Centre for Serbian as a Foreign Language are the members of ALTA association.

    For students attending the full course costs of the final examination are included in the tuition fee. Students who do not attend the full course should pay the final examination costs.

    Test dates for candidates who do not participate in our courses (foreign citizens and non-Serbian speaking citizens of the Republic of Serbia): September, December, April and June. You can register for the test by writing to centar@ff.uns.ac.rs


    Student Facilities

    The entrants of Serbian course:
    students who pass the final exam gain a respective number of ECTS credits, which can be transferred to their universities,
    have an opportunity to attend other courses at the Faculty,
    can use the Faculty's library and reading rooms.
